Summer 2018 at The Prep!

The Prep of South Tampa is excited to offer over FIFTY camps throughout the summer! We have made several improvements to the building over the past year and we are excited to announcing the opening of our brand new teaching kitchen this summer! Whether your child likes art or sports, space or animals...we have something for everyone in the family. Please take the time to read ALL of the information below and then click on the registration link and sort by "Summer Camp 2018" under the "Programs" tab for a thorough description, age requirements and specific dates of each camp. 

Times & Costs

All of our camps will run from 9am to 1pm with prices varying from $229 to $279 per week. The Prep will offer an extended day option for all campers with a morning drop-off between 8am-9am and afternoon pick-up anytime after 1pm until 5:30pm. If you are interested in an extended day, please choose this option as an "add on" at the time of registration. 

ages & Grades

Age and/or grade requirements are listed with each individual camp. Please use the grade the child will be entering in Fall 2018 or his/her age at the time s/he will attend camp. Please adhere to the age/grade requirements for each camp when you register your child as we have planned activities that are age-appropriate for each group. 

lunches and snacks

The Prep is proud to be a NUT-FREE facility. Please keep this in mind as you are packing meals for your camper. Each day you will need to send a morning snack and a lunch with your child. If your child is staying for an extended day, please add an additional snack and remind your child to save it for the afternoon. Please send your child a refillable water bottle each day.  The Prep is excited to partner with Chick-Fil-A and Blackjack Pizza to let you off the "lunch" hook 2 days a week this summer!  Choose one or both of the following options at registration:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              Wonderful Wednesday: Let your child enjoy a Chick-Fil-A sandwich, a bag of chips and a water for $8!                                                                                                                   Fun Friday: Enjoy 2 slices of Blackjack Pizza, a popsicle and a water for $8!

refund and cancellation policy

At The Prep of South Tampa, we strive to provide fun, hands-on, educational camps for your children. Some of our camps require us to pre-order supplies well in advance of when the camp begins. With this in mind, our refund policy is as follows:

  • All Cooking, Science and Art registrations must be canceled by April 1, 2018 in order to receive a full discount. Registrations canceled after April 1, 2018 will not be eligible to receive a refund. 
  • Basketball, Floor Hockey, Baseball/Softball, Martial Arts, Soccer, Dance, Photography and Gymnastics camps must be cancelled 30 days prior to the start of the specific camp. Any registration that is canceled within 30 days of the start of a camp will not be eligible for a refund. 

registration information

After choosing which camps you'd like to sign your children up for, please create an account in our RecDesk online registration system. This is a new system we implemented in November, so even if your child attended camp last summer you will need to create a new account. Please enter yourself as "Head of Household" and then enter each child individually. It is important to fill out all the information including emergency contacts, health issues and current phone numbers as this is the information we will use in case of an emergency. You will also be required to fill out two or three registration forms upon registering for camp. The forms will only need to be filled out one time per summer so please take the time to do it now. After creating a family account, you will be able to register multiple children for multiple camps during the same transaction. Our new system is amazing with a little extra work at the front end! 

i've registered. what's next?

About a week prior to your specific camp starting, you will receive a packet of information via email. This packet will give you details about our car line, any changes to the schedule, what your child should wear/bring, etc. Specific information about each camp is also located in the "Notes" section on the registration site and should be printed on your registration receipt.
